About Wee Mack's
Wee Mack’s Nursery is based in a beautiful iconic former church building at Constitution Street in the Leith area of Edinburgh. We provide childcare for infants and children from 6 months to 5 years of age in our modern, bright, spacious playrooms. Our setting has space for a total of 62 children with a large playroom combining toddler and pre-school areas, baby provision with adjoining sleep and sensory room, and main garden.
Our nursery will nurture, protect and encourage your child at each stage of their development. From 6 months to 3 years, children will follow the Early Years Framework Realising the Ambition; from 3 – 5 years, they will follow the Curriculum for Excellence to prepare them for the transition to school.

Opening Hours
We are open from 0800 – 1800 hours Monday to Friday, all year round except Christmas shutdown. For children attending half days, morning sessions are from 0800 – 1300, and afternoon sessions are from 1300 – 1800.
We operate a minimum session requirement of 2 sessions in order to ensure continuity for your child.

The prices above include meals, snacks, milk, water bottle, nappies and wipes. Infant milk (breast milk or formula) must be supplied by parents. There is a one-off non-refundable registration fee of £100 per child to secure your place. This covers the cost of initial nursery visits and settling-in sessions and is not applicable to those accessing funding from their registration date.
*We are in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council and can provide funded hours for 3-5 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. The prices given are for sessions which fall outside the funding hours or before funding eligibility starts.
Local outings such as walks to the park are included; we may occasionally offer trips where a small charge is made to cover additional costs, however participation in these will be optional. In-house extra-curricular activities are also included in fees. Additional classes will be available to book from time to time; these are also chargeable and optional.

Meet Wee Mack
Wee Mack is a friendly otter who has come from the Water of Leith to help our nursery teach your Little Ones. His familiar face and relatable character will assist your child’s learning in a cute and cuddly way. Otters symbolise peace, friendship, kindness and family – all things we value here at Wee Mack’s nursery. Furthermore, they are sociable yet mischievous and have a never-ending curiosity – just like young children! We are sure that Wee Mack will be the perfect fit for your child. Remember to look out for his crew members when you visit our nursery!
